Subaru built 500 of these worldwide. This one carries dashboard plaque number 483.

The S210 draws on the WRX NBR Challenge car that ran the Nürburgring 24 Hours. Its 2.4-liter turbocharged flat-four makes 300 horsepower, 25 more than standard, through a redesigned high-flow intake, a low-backpressure sport muffler and a recalibrated ECU. Torque stays at 375 Nm, but delivery is smoother and more linear than the standard car's. Drive goes to permanent all-wheel drive through the Subaru Performance Transmission.

The chassis received more attention than the engine. ZF retuned the electronically controlled dampers, the coil springs are higher-rate, and the rear stabilizer bushings are harder. Brakes are ventilated and cross-drilled at all four corners with performance pads and six-piston Brembo calipers at the front.

The car is finished in Crystal Black Silica with a carbon fiber rear wing, front and rear diffusers and side skirts, a cherry red line across the grille and S210 and STI badging. The wheels are 19-inch STI Flexible Performance forged units made by BBS, on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 255/35R19 at each corner.

Inside are Recaro seats with carbon fiber backrests, trimmed in Nappa leather with eight-way power adjustment, against a black interior with red stitching and STI badging.
