Overview
The T in Carrera T stands for Touring, and the car is defined by what Porsche left out of it rather than by what was added.
Weight comes off through thinner glass and a lighter battery. The rear seats are deleted and the sound insulation is reduced, which is the point rather than an economy: more of the engine reaches the cabin. In the range it sits between the Carrera and the Carrera S, but it is the rawer car to drive than either.
It is also the way to buy a 911 Carrera with three pedals, because the standard Carrera is no longer offered with a manual gearbox at all.
The engine is the 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six: 385 horsepower and 450 Nm, through a seven-speed manual. 0 to 100 km/h takes 4.5 seconds and the top speed is 291 km/h.
