McLaren built 765 of these, each individually numbered, and production has ended. That was the point of the car: a limited, harder edition of the 720S, made lighter rather than simply more powerful.

At 1,229 kg dry it is the lightest Longtail McLaren has built, 80 kg below the 720S, which works out to 622 horsepower per ton. The numbers that follow are a consequence of that: 2.8 seconds to 100 km/h, 7.0 seconds to 200 km/h, 18.0 seconds to 300 km/h, the quarter mile in under 10 seconds, and a top speed of 330 km/h.

The engine is the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with aluminum pistons, triple-layer head gaskets from the Senna and the 720S high-flow fuel pump: 765 horsepower and 800 Nm, through a seven-speed dual-clutch that shifts 15 percent quicker than the 720S. The titanium quad exhaust saves 40 percent over a steel system and is largely responsible for how the car sounds.

Aerodynamically it runs a revised front bumper with side fins, reworked side skirts, a large rear diffuser and an extended active wing that acts as an airbrake, adding 25 percent rear downforce. Lightweight alloy wheels are secured with titanium nuts on Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires, with carbon-ceramic brakes and Senna-derived calipers behind them.

Inside there is Alcantara and exposed carbon and not much else. This example is finished in black throughout.
