Bentley Torcal: 888 PS, 600 km of range, and the first electric Bentley
Bentley's first electric car, revealed in London on 23 September 2026: an SUV with up to 888 PS and 1,350 Nm, 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, up to 600 km of WLTP range and fully active suspension. Offered as Torcal and Torcal S.
1 / 25Bentley revealed the Torcal in London on 23 September 2026. It is the company's first fully electric car and its fourth model line, joining the Continental GT, the Flying Spur and the Bentayga. It is an SUV, five metres long, which makes it the shortest four-door Bentley builds, and it is designed, engineered and assembled in Crewe. Two versions are offered from launch: the Torcal and the more sporting Torcal S.
The figures split cleanly between them. The Torcal has 821 PS and 1,194 Nm, reaches 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and tops out at 250 km/h. The Torcal S makes 888 PS and 1,350 Nm with Launch Control engaged, covers 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and reaches 260 km/h. No Bentley has ever produced more torque. Bentley says it stopped there on purpose: its engineers found that most customers experience harder acceleration as uncomfortable rather than exciting. Two permanent-magnet motors drive all four wheels, and the rear one carries a locking differential.
The battery is an 800-volt pack of 192 pouch cells with 113 kWh of net capacity, warranted for 10 years or 100,000 miles, roughly 160,000 km. WLTP range is up to 600 km. On a 400 kW charger it goes from 10 to 80 per cent in under 20 minutes, and about 160 km of range returns in seven. Luggage space is 460 litres at the back plus 90 litres under the bonnet.
The chassis is where the engineering budget went. The Torcal is the first Bentley with fully active suspension: each damper can be raised or lowered independently and instantly, which removes the need for anti-roll bars altogether. All-wheel steering is standard, turning the rear wheels up to five degrees and bringing the turning circle down to 11.1 metres. The iron brakes use 420 mm front discs; the optional carbon-ceramic set goes to 440 mm. Bentley's own brief was a car that rides like a Flying Spur and handles like a Continental GT Speed.
The cabin keeps the winged dashboard of current Bentleys, with physical controls on the centre console and steering wheel and curved OLED screens above them. New materials include the first automotive fabric made entirely of Merino wool, developed with the Somerset weaver Fox Brothers, and an Ombré Walnut veneer pressed from up to 1,000 thin layers. The drive sound was recorded on drums, viola and bass guitar, built around the rhythm of Bentley's V8 rather than a copy of it, and it can be switched off. The Torcal S adds black exterior brightware, dark rear lamps, a rear diffuser, red calipers, 22-inch wheels and piano black veneer as standard.
For a buyer in Thailand, size is the practical point. Shorter than a Bentayga and with an 11.1-metre turning circle, the Torcal suits Bangkok condominium car parks and narrow sois better than any other four-door Bentley. Charging is the other: the 400 kW figure needs a high-power DC charger, so day-to-day use will mean charging at home. We import the Torcal to order and quote it landed, with duty, tax and delivery time included, and we advise on the specification before the build slot is confirmed. The Bentayga Hybrid, Flying Spur and Continental GT models in our stock are in Bangkok now for anyone who wants to set the Torcal against the Bentleys it joins.
