Aston Martin DBX GT: the DBX S's 727 horsepower, set up for comfort
Announced on 1 October 2026, the DBX GT pairs the DBX S's 727 horsepower, 900 Nm twin-turbo V8 with retuned dampers, a quieter cabin, individual rear seats and calmer styling. 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, 310 km/h, first deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2026.
1 / 26Aston Martin announced the DBX GT on 1 October 2026: a second top-of-range version of its SUV, sitting alongside the DBX S rather than above or below it. The two share an engine and their performance figures. The S is styled and set up for drivers who want the car to feel sporting; the GT trades that for ride comfort, a quieter cabin and a more restrained look. Chief executive Adrian Hallmark describes its buyer as one who prefers “assured elegance over sporting aggression.”
The engine is the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 introduced on the DBX S, with turbochargers shared with the Valhalla. It makes 727 horsepower and 900 Nm. Aston Martin rates the DBX S at 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and says the GT matches it, and top speed is 310 km/h. The carbon-ceramic brakes, 420 mm front and 390 mm rear, carry over from the S, as does its quicker steering ratio, and the turning circle stays at 12.0 meters.
The changes are in the chassis and the calibration. New valves inside the dampers deal with small, rapid inputs such as coarse asphalt and rumble strips, filtering vibration out before it reaches the cabin while keeping body control on a fast road. Spring rates change with the drive mode. For bigger hits (potholes, sharp crests, heavy compressions) there is a stiffer transmission mount developed from Valhalla work and two new longitudinal dampers between the body and rear subframe. Throttle response and the shift quality of the nine-speed wet-clutch automatic have been retuned for smoother low-speed driving. A new GT exhaust mode keeps the V8 discreet; Sport and Sport+ bring the full sound back.
Outside, the GT drops the aggressive details of the S. The grille has split double vanes, in a bright or dark finish, that run out into the side vents carrying the daytime running lights. The side strake becomes a two-piece metal part in polished and satin finishes, a technique Aston Martin credits to watchmaking. The lower bumper, sills and diffuser are painted in body color as standard. New 22-inch forged wheels in a Satin Titanium diamond-turned finish run on Pirelli Scorpion Zero All-Season tires, chosen for ride and road noise; 23-inch wheels with P Zero summer tires are optional. Four exhaust finishers sit in horizontal pairs at the back.
Inside, the front and rear seats are new, with a 10 mm memory-foam layer in the cushion, reshaped bolsters and an embroidery pattern unique to the GT. Each front seat takes 691 meters of thread, 3,297 perforations and more than four and a half hours of hand work. The rear bench gives way to two individually sculpted seats, though the car still carries five. A panoramic glass roof, semi-aniline leather, deep-pile mats and anodized metal switchgear are standard. Extra sound deadening in the doors, wheel arches and load space, plus acoustic laminated rear side glass, improves the Articulation Index, the industry measure of how easily occupants can hold a conversation on the move, by 13%.
For a buyer in Thailand, the GT is aimed squarely at the usual complaint about fast SUVs on Bangkok roads. Expressway expansion joints, patched asphalt and rumble strips are exactly the inputs its new damper valves were designed for, and all-season tires on a 22-inch wheel cope with the rainy season better than summer tires on 23s. The real decision is GT or DBX S: identical performance, with the S keeping the firmer setup and the more assertive styling. Aston Martin scheduled first deliveries for the fourth quarter of 2026. We import the DBX GT to order and quote it landed, with duty, tax and delivery time included, and we advise on the specification before the build slot is confirmed.
