Overview

Aston Martin calls this the fastest and most driver-focused car to carry the Vantage name in its 74 years. The 2024 revision was substantial enough to move the car close to the DB12 in both hardware and cabin.

The 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 was rebuilt rather than retuned: reshaped cam profiles, larger turbochargers and a new cooling system. It now makes 656 horsepower and 800 Nm — increases of 153 horsepower and 115 Nm over the previous car. Drive goes to the rear wheels through a ZF eight-speed automatic, with launch control and adjustable traction control. 0 to 96 km/h takes 3.4 seconds and it runs to 325 km/h.

To carry that, the body was stiffened. A repositioned front crossmember increases lateral rigidity between the pillars, giving the adaptive suspension a firmer base to work from, and the electric power steering was recalibrated to suit.

The exterior is matte black over a wider rear track, with a much larger grille and Matrix LED headlamps taken from the DB12. It sits on 21-inch forged wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 5S tires, 275/35R21 at the front and 325/30R21 at the rear.

The cabin follows the DB12 as well, built around a 10.25-inch touchscreen but keeping physical switches for the functions a driver uses at speed. This car is heavily optioned, including the 15-speaker, 1,170-watt Bowers & Wilkins system, and is at the Target Car Center – Imported Cars showroom.
