Overview

The T-Spec is one of the last GT-Rs Nissan built. It arrived in 2021 to mark the end of the R35's production run, which closed at the Tochigi plant after eighteen years and roughly 48,000 cars. Every VR38DETT engine in that run was hand-assembled and signed by one of just nine master builders — the Takumi — at Yokohama.

The R35 was shown at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show and picked up the nickname Supercar Killer almost immediately. It was built as a grand tourer that could be driven every day and still hold its own on a circuit, and it made the case on the clock: its Nürburgring lap fell from 7:38 in 2007 to 7:08.679 in 2013. The platform was reworked three times over its life, in 2010, 2016 and 2023, and raced everywhere from Japan's Super GT championship to the 12 Hours of Bathurst.

Color is what sets the T-Spec apart. Millennium Jade is a reference to the R34 GT-R V-Spec II Nür, one of the rarest Skylines ever built; Midnight Purple was the only alternative. This car is the Jade, imported to Thailand through Nissan Krungthai. It uses the Track Edition's stiffened body, with widened front fenders, a carbon fiber rear spoiler, gold Rays forged wheels and carbon-ceramic brakes. The cabin is trimmed in Mori Green — semi-aniline leather with suede and Alcantara.

The engine is the 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6, rated here at 555 horsepower at 6,800 rpm with 632 Nm held from 3,300 to 5,800 rpm. It drives all four wheels through a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

With the R35 out of production and no successor announced, the last cars are increasingly bought to be kept rather than used. This Millennium Jade T-Spec is at the Target Car Center – Imported Cars showroom.
