Overview
The 125 in the name does two jobs. It is the output of the engine and it is the size of the production run: 125 cars, consecutively numbered, and BRABUS has built no more.
The Ultimate series is the flagship line BRABUS builds on the smart fortwo, and the 125 follows the Ultimate 101, 112, R, Style and 120. The engine is the 0.9-liter turbocharged three-cylinder, retuned to 125 horsepower and 200 Nm at 2,000 rpm, driving the rear wheels through a six-speed dual-clutch. 0 to 100 km/h takes 9.2 seconds and top speed is limited to 175 km/h.
The body is the BRABUS WIDESTAR conversion: flared arches over a widened track, a bumper and rear diffuser specific to the car, and forged BRABUS Monoblock Y wheels in 18-inch, 205/35 R18 at the front and 235/30 R18 at the rear. On a car with a 2,695 mm wheelbase, the effect is out of proportion in the way it was meant to be.
This one is finished in Blu Glauco, the turquoise BRABUS used on the Geneva show car. The cabin is trimmed in leather in the same color, carried across the dashboard, sections of the door panels and the steering wheel, with illuminated door sills, stainless steel pedals and velour mats.
Target Car Center is the only authorized BRABUS dealer in Thailand, and this is the only Ultimate 125 in the country. The car is at the Target Car Center – Imported Cars showroom.
