The reason to buy a Huracán EVO is the engine: a 5.2-liter V10, naturally aspirated, revving to 8,000 rpm where it makes its 640 horsepower. Torque peaks at 600 Nm at 6,500 rpm. There is no turbocharger between the throttle and the noise.

Drive goes through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox to all four wheels. 0 to 100 km/h takes 2.9 seconds; the top speed is 325 km/h.

The EVO generation added the Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata system, which reads driver inputs as they happen rather than after the fact, adjusting steering response, torque vectoring and damping in real time. Strada mode softens everything for city use; Corsa sharpens the shifts, firms the dampers and releases full power. Aerodynamically the EVO makes five times the downforce of the earliest Huracáns, using larger front intakes, a bigger rear diffuser and an integrated wing.

This car has been through NOVITEC. The naked-carbon aerodynamic parts are wind-tunnel developed — a front spoiler attachment, sculpted rocker panels and carbon mirror covers — and it rides on NOVITEC forged wheels.

The cabin is trimmed in Alcantara and Carbon Skin, a fabric used to save weight without giving up the feel of the material. An 8.4-inch portrait touchscreen handles navigation, drive modes, climate and the exhaust setting, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto included.
