The D40 Adventure is BRABUS's diesel build, which is a deliberate choice: torque low down and range between fills matter more than outright speed on long distances.

The 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six diesel runs the BRABUS PowerXtra D40 kit for 370 horsepower and 750 Nm, up 40 horsepower and 50 Nm on the factory engine. Through all-wheel drive, 0 to 100 km/h takes 6.2 seconds.

The body carries the Widestar flare package, which adds 100 mm of width, over 20-inch BRABUS Monoblock R wheels. The front bumper is BRABUS with enlarged intakes and an integrated winch, and the hood and skid plates are matte carbon fiber. A rear-mounted spare carrier, roof LED lights and a coated roof rack are fitted, and the suspension lift raises the car 40 mm without giving up on-road ride quality.

The interior is finished under the BRABUS Masterpiece programme in leather, Alcantara and carbon fiber, with contrast stitching throughout.
