Ferrari 360 Modena
The Legend of the Prancing Horse!!! Ferrari 360 Modena — another iconic supercar truly worthy of ownership!!! Rare, but findable — because this is Target Car Center – Imported Cars.
The Ferrari 360 Modena was introduced in 1999 as a mid-engine supercar that generated enormous revenue for Ferrari. It was the successor to the F355, but with entirely new proportions and design language, giving the 360 Modena a striking presence. Its futuristic aerodynamic design, flowing curves, and signature split left-right front air intakes became elements still seen in Ferrari models today.
One of the standout design highlights of the 360 Modena is behind the cabin. Instead of a traditional flat engine cover with ventilation slats, Ferrari used a large rear glass panel that slopes down toward the tail, showcasing the bright red engine cover of the mid-mounted V8 in full view. It retains familiar Ferrari DNA, and the side air intakes evoke the design of the Dino 206/246 — a fresh identity for Ferrari at the time, representing a major evolution not only in aerodynamics. In fact, the 360 Modena generated four times more downforce than the 355.
Another significant milestone was the 360 Modena’s fully aluminum chassis and body panels — the first time Ferrari used an all-aluminum structure. The body combined thicker welded sections for strength with thinner areas for weight reduction. Despite being noticeably larger, more luxurious, and more spacious than the 355, the 360 Modena was only 40 kilograms heavier.
Simply put, the 360 Modena improved on everything the F355 achieved — lighter, roomier, more comfortable, and with superior performance.
Looking deeper at the engine, the 360 Modena marked major evolution from the F355. The 90-degree V8 engine grew from 3.5 to 3.6 liters — hence the name “360.” And “Modena” comes from the birthplace of Enzo Ferrari.
This 3.6-liter V8 produces 400 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 373 Nm of torque at 4,750 rpm. Power is delivered through either a 6-speed F1 automated manual or a 6-speed gated manual. The car shown here is the 6-speed F1 version, delivering 0–100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of over 295 km/h.
Inside the cabin, the driver-focused layout features a flat-bottom steering wheel, supportive sport seats that provide long-distance comfort while remaining firm enough for track use, and essential carbon-fiber elements — practically a standard Ferrari feature. There’s also rear storage space behind the seats, capable of holding golf clubs or two small travel bags.
