Porsche 911 Carrera S

The Porsche 911 with the 991 chassis code is considered another highly distinctive sports car from Porsche. At first glance, it looks very similar to its predecessor, the 997. However, all models in the 911 family share a largely consistent silhouette, with a design that evolves gradually over time while performance takes significant leaps forward.

Compared to the 997, the 991 features a newly designed body with a wheelbase extended by 100 mm and a lower overall height. Combined with a wider front track, repositioned side mirrors, and new headlights, the 991 looks sleeker and more agile, while still preserving the iconic 911 shape. Thanks to the use of an aluminum–steel body structure, rigidity was significantly increased while weight was reduced by up to 45 kilograms.

The 991 is also the first 911 to feature electric power steering, and it is the last Carrera-generation 911 to use a naturally aspirated engine without turbocharging.

The Porsche 911 Carrera (991) comes with a 3.4-liter flat-six engine producing 350 horsepower. However, the car shown here is the Carrera S, for which Porsche increased displacement to 3.8 liters, resulting in a maximum output of 400 horsepower. It accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, paired with a 7-speed PDK automatic transmission sending power to the rear wheels.
