Platinum Edition is a specification rather than a quicker Cayenne. It brings the gloss black SportDesign package, 21-inch wheels and its own badging to the standard E-Hybrid, and this car wears it in Suzuka Grey, a light metallic that leaves the black trim to do the talking.

The powertrain is the plug-in hybrid: a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 with an electric motor for 462 horsepower and 700 Nm combined, driving all four wheels through an eight-speed Tiptronic S. 0 to 100 km/h takes 5.0 seconds and top speed is 253 km/h, with the battery covering shorter journeys on its own.
