Underneath, this is a standard G63. Everything that makes it an Edition 55 has been applied to the surfaces, and that is the point of the car.

Outside there are AMG graphics along the flanks and 22-inch forged wheels in tantalum grey with silver rim flanges. AMG Night Packages I and II put gloss black on the grille, the indicators and the surrounds of the head and tail lamps, and the fuel filler cap carries AMG lettering.

Inside, the stainless door sills light their AMG lettering in red, the black AMG floor mats are stitched in red and marked Edition 55, and the microfiber steering wheel carries AMG and 55. The trim is carbon fiber, the Nappa leather two-tone in red and black.

The engine is unchanged: the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 at 585 horsepower and 850 Nm, driving all four wheels through a nine-speed automatic. 0 to 100 km/h takes 4.5 seconds and the limiter arrives at 220 km/h.
