Overview
AMG turned 55 in 2022, and the Edition 55 was built to mark it.
This car is finished in G manufaktur opaline white with AMG graphics along the lower flanks, on 22-inch AMG forged wheels in matt Tantalum Grey with polished rim flanges. Both AMG Night Packages are fitted, which take the grille, indicators, headlamps and tail lamps to gloss black, and the fuel filler cap is AMG-branded chrome.
Inside, the door sills are stainless steel with AMG lettering lit in red, the floor mats carry red stitching and Edition 55 lettering woven into them, and the AMG Performance steering wheel is wrapped in Dinamica with AMG and 55 badges. The seats are two-tone Nappa in red and black, with carbon fiber trim through the cabin.
The engine is the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8: 585 horsepower and 850 Nm, through a nine-speed automatic to all four wheels. 0 to 100 km/h takes 4.5 seconds, with the top speed limited to 220 km/h.
