To celebrate Ferrari’s victory in the 2008 Formula 1 World Championship, the Scuderia Spider 16M was created — combining the cutting-edge innovations of the Ferrari 430 Scuderia with the open-top driving experience of the F430 Spider.

The F430 Scuderia Spider 16M is a special limited-edition supercar, with only 499 units produced, featuring upgraded body components and aerodynamic refinement.

To surpass the standard model in weight reduction and aerodynamic efficiency, Ferrari designed a full aero body kit to enhance performance and downforce, along with carbon-ceramic brakes for maximum stopping power.

It also receives an upgraded suspension setup for superior handling: lightweight titanium springs, stiffer dampers, and hollow anti-roll bars, making it 15 mm lower than the standard F430 Spider.

In terms of design, the F430 Scuderia Spider 16M features a unique front bumper with larger and sharper air intakes. The upper edges of the intakes curve into the sides, while the center bumper integrates a newly designed small opening to channel airflow underneath the car. Additional aero fins are added near the front wheel-arch vents.

To accommodate wider front tires, the front fenders have been slightly widened. The rear air intakes are also enlarged, complemented by higher-mounted exhaust outlets and a rear spoiler seamlessly integrated into the engine cover.

The carbon-fiber rear diffuser now features six fins instead of four, a signature of the 16M, along with additional vents for gearbox and clutch cooling. Air outlets on the rear wheel arches also direct airflow toward the rear bumper to generate downforce. Altogether, the F430 Scuderia Spider 16M produces nearly 10% more downforce than the standard F430.

Additionally, the F430 Scuderia Spider 16M features a special metal plaque on the rear grille commemorating Ferrari’s 16th Constructors’ World Championship, along with “16M Scuderia” badges under the Ferrari shield on the front fenders.

With all upgrades combined, the F430 Scuderia Spider 16M has a dry weight of 1,340 kg, which is 80 kg lighter than the F430 Spider. Paired with its naturally aspirated 4.3-liter V8 producing 510 hp at 8,500 rpm and 470 Nm at 5,250 rpm, it achieves an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 2.6 kg per hp.

With the F1 Superfast 6-speed transmission, the Scuderia Spider 16M accelerates from 0–100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of 315 km/h.

Inside, the cabin is designed with extreme weight reduction in mind: carbon-fiber and fabric racing seats, Alcantara and carbon-fiber trim on the dashboard, and a special silver plaque with “limited series” positioned above the central air vents.
