McLaren 765LT
McLaren 765LT – the ultimate lightweight-focused machine, delivering a thrilling 0–300 km/h in just 18 seconds with 765 horsepower!!!
The McLaren 765LT stands as the flagship model of the Longtail (LT) family, following the 675LT and even the iconic F1. It is developed and evolved from the 720S with a focus on reduced weight, increased power, and enhanced technology.
With an all-out aerodynamic design made almost entirely from carbon fiber, it features an aggressive front bumper with added side fins and redesigned side skirts. The signature element of this model is the massive rear diffuser and the extended rear spoiler compared to the standard version.
The highlight lies at the rear, which includes additional features to improve cooling by extracting hot air from the engine bay. It also comes with a multi-setting Airbrake that increases rear downforce by up to 25%. When the brakes are applied, the rear spoiler instantly tilts upward to generate immense stopping force.
In addition to the signature Longtail rear wing, the 765LT is equipped with ultra-lightweight alloy wheels with titanium wheel bolts wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires — 235/35ZR19 at the front and 305/30ZR20 at the rear. The braking system uses carbon-ceramic discs with calipers borrowed from the hypercar Senna, and the suspension has been retuned specifically for track-focused driving.
The exhaust system is impossible to overlook: the 765LT features a titanium quad-exhaust setup, 40% lighter than steel. Aside from reducing weight, it delivers an exhilarating V8 soundtrack, and the four-pipe layout helps expel exhaust gases faster.
Inside the cabin, the seats are mounted lower and designed as single-piece racing seats taken directly from the Senna. The interior is dressed in Alcantara and carbon fiber to enhance the motorsport character. The car shown here uses an all-black finish for a truly aggressive appearance.
Power comes from a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 equipped with aluminum pistons, a triple-layer head gasket borrowed from the Senna, and an upgraded fuel pump from the 720S. The result is 765 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. But McLaren didn’t stop there — the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission has also been tuned for improved responsiveness, offering 15% faster shifts than the 720S, making it the quickest-shifting gearbox in the entire McLaren Super Series.
Thanks to all the weight-reduction measures, the 765LT is the lightest Longtail model ever, and 80 kg lighter than the 720S. Its dry weight is just 1,229 kg — as light as an economy car but with hypercar-level performance, delivering an incredible power-to-weight ratio of 622 hp per ton.
With all of this combined, the 765LT accelerates from:
- 0–100 km/h in 2.8 seconds
- 0–200 km/h in 7 seconds
- 0–300 km/h in 18 seconds
- Quarter-mile in under 10 seconds
Top speed is 330 km/h.
Production of the McLaren 765LT was limited to only 765 units — all of which sold out rapidly. For anyone interested, one of these rare 765 cars is now on display at Target Car Center – Imported Cars, in factory-fresh condition and equipped with standout optional upgrades including Novitec carbon-fiber door sills and a roof-mounted air scoop!!!
