Lamborghini Urus – The Fierce Giant Bull, Nicknamed the World’s First Super SUV!!!
In 2012, Lamborghini shocked the world and revolutionized the high-performance SUV segment with the unveiling of the Urus Concept at the Beijing Motor Show. Later in 2018, the production version of the Urus was officially born, carrying the title of the world’s first SUPER SUV.
To this day, the best-selling vehicle from Lamborghini remains the Urus. That’s because it combines supercar-inspired design with a high-riding SUV body style, perfectly catering to customers who want high performance while still being practical for everyday use.
The Lamborghini Urus is built on the MLB Evo platform, the same architecture used in the Audi Q7. However, Lamborghini’s engineering team redesigned the overall structure to reduce weight and incorporated high-quality materials, keeping the Urus’s weight below 2,200 kg.
In terms of design, the Urus features Lamborghini’s unmistakable supercar DNA, including large front air intakes, sharp and angular body lines, a sloping roofline, frameless windows, a large rear diffuser, and distinctive Y-shaped headlights and taillights. The Y-shaped design motif appears throughout the entire vehicle.
Inside the cabin, the design centers around hexagonal shapes — a signature Lamborghini element used for many years. This theme is reflected in the air vents, center displays, digital instrument cluster, and even the seat patterns.
The Lamborghini Urus is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 659 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 850 Nm of torque between 2,250–4,500 rpm. Power is delivered to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission, enabling acceleration from 0–100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and 0–200 km/h in 12.8 seconds, with a top speed of 305 km/h.
The all-wheel-drive system can actively vary torque distribution between the front and rear axles. Under normal conditions, power is split 40:60, but in other drive modes, up to 70% can be sent to the front wheels and up to 87% to the rear wheels.
As a true SUPER SUV, powerful braking is essential. The Urus is equipped with carbon-ceramic brakes featuring 10-piston calipers paired with 440 mm discs at the front and 370 mm discs at the rear.
For anyone looking for a Super SUV like the Lamborghini Urus, it is now available at Target Car Center – Imported Cars showroom. This particular vehicle has 28,XXX km on the odometer. Most importantly, it is one of the few remaining Urus models on the market powered purely by a V8 engine, as Lamborghini has now officially entered the hybrid era. This is truly your last opportunity!
