Overview

McLaren 570GT MSO Black Collection — a Sport Series legend, one of just 100 built worldwide, straight from McLaren Special Operations

Two years ago, McLaren made the call to retire its entry-level supercar tier — everything positioned below the Artura — to focus squarely on supercars and hypercars. That meant the end of the Sport Series family: the 540C, 570GT, 570S and 600LT, in both Coupe and Spider form.

The result? Sport Series cars have become some of the most sought-after machines on the global used market. Free of any hybrid assistance, running a genuine V8, and lighter and more agile than their big brother the 750S — they're the last of a breed.

The 570GT arrived in 2016 as the everyday alternative to the 570S — same performance DNA, but built for long-distance comfort and daily usability, with more practical storage and a slightly softer edge to the drive.

Visually, the 570S and 570GT are nearly identical, save for a taller rear spoiler and, more notably, a side-hinged glass tailgate in place of the standard engine cover — opening to the right for easier access to 220 litres of luggage space, plus another 150 litres up front.

Inside, the GT leans further into luxury: leather wrapped across the cabin and door panels, an electrically adjustable steering wheel, a higher-grade audio system, and heated glass all around. Pirelli P Zero tyres were specified for a quieter, more compliant ride, the exhaust was retuned to be less aggressive, and the suspension was softened — springs relaxed by 15% up front and 10% at the rear — for a more comfortable long-haul character without dulling that signature McLaren precision.

Power comes from a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 570 hp at 7,500 rpm and 600 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm, sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic — good for 0–100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 328 km/h.

This particular example is the 570GT MSO Black Collection — a limited run of only 100 cars worldwide, and among the rarest factory 570GTs in existence, finished entirely in black inside and out by McLaren Special Operations.

The defining details: bodywork in MSO Carbon Black, paired with gloss-black forged wheels in a Diamond Wheel Finish, wrapped around carbon-ceramic brakes with black calipers.

The cabin carries the MSO Black Collection Trim — a considered blend of Jet Black leather and Carbon Black Alcantara across the centre console, lower dash, headliner, steering wheel and speaker surrounds. The electrically adjustable sports seats add heating and memory function, trimmed in premium semi-aniline leather, finished with MSO embroidery on the headrests.

Rounding it out is the MSO Titanium SuperSports Exhaust — 5 kg lighter than standard, and 5 decibels louder.
