Porsche 911 GT3 Touring
Fresh out of the oven!!!! Porsche 911 GT3 Touring Facelift (992.2) — 6-speed manual, 4.0-liter flat-six, 510 horsepower. It doesn’t get better than this!!!
The Porsche 911 GT3 has always been one of the most important models in the 911 family, improving with each generation. Today we present the Porsche 911 GT3 Touring Facelift (992.2) — straight from the factory, fresh and untouched, arriving in Thailand with that “factory scent” still lingering!
At first glance, it may seem like not much has changed compared to the 911 GT3 Touring (992.1). That’s because this facelift is relatively subtle. But upon closer inspection, you’ll notice refined details and enhancements. The naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six remains with 510 horsepower at 9,000 rpm, and unlike many sports cars today that no longer offer manual transmissions, the 911 GT3 Touring continues to provide this option — and this car is the 6-speed manual.
Even though the 4.0-liter non-turbo flat-six may appear unchanged, torque has slightly decreased compared to the previous model. Power remains at 510 horsepower, but torque has dropped from 470 Nm to 450 Nm.
This small reduction in torque came from stricter emissions regulations. Porsche stated that they had to work extensively to meet the new standards while retaining the engine’s incredible 9,000 rpm redline.
Performance remains blistering: the 6-speed manual version accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, with a top speed of 314 km/h.
To comply with emissions rules, Porsche installed a completely new exhaust system featuring four catalytic converters and two particulate filters for improved efficiency. The cylinder heads have been revised and the camshafts modified as well.
Additional tweaks include a retuned throttle system and optimized throttle valves. The result: despite the slight torque reduction, it still delivers 510 hp at 9,000 rpm.
Another important update for the 992.2 GT3 is the shorter final drive ratio—8% shorter, compensating for the reduced torque and improving responsiveness.
On the exterior, the GT3 Touring Facelift (992.2) features Porsche’s new LED Matrix headlights with integrated main beams, turn signals, and DRLs. The rear also receives redesigned taillights with more depth and dimensionality.
A highlight of the facelift is the interior update: a brand-new digital instrument cluster that displays track-focused performance data such as tire pressure, fuel levels, and shift indicators. Aerodynamics have also been revised to improve downforce and airflow.
Making this car even more exceptional, this particular GT3 Touring Facelift comes equipped with:
- 20/21-inch magnesium center-lock wheels
- Carbon-fiber roof
- Lightweight Bucket Seats made from CFRP with removable headrest pads for helmet clearance
These Lightweight Bucket Seats reduce vehicle weight by over 7.5 kg compared to standard seats. They also fold forward for access to the rear area — and this car includes rear seats as well!
For anyone seeking one of the few remaining true manual sports cars on the market, the Porsche 911 GT3 Touring Facelift (992.2) is the perfect choice — offering a balanced blend of performance, comfort, and pure driving pleasure.
And for those interested, it is now available at Target Car Center (Thailand), imported directly from the factory in Germany and ready for ownership.
